Domain Privacy Protection

Keep your personal information private

The Whois database is accessible to anyone on the internet. When you register a domain, you risk exposing your name, address, email and phone number to spammers, marketing firms and online fraudsters.

How does it work?

When you enable Privacy Protection on a domain name, we replace all your publicly visible contact details with alternate contact information so that when a WHOIS query is performed on the domain, an alternate mailing address, email address and phone number are displayed.

You retain complete control of the domain, including the rights to sell, renew, cancel or transfer it.

Contact Info Shield

Privacy Protection service information is displayed in the publicly accessible Whois database, taking the place of your name, postal address, phone number, and fax number. Your personal information remains private. This means you’re safe from telemarketers, unsolicited phone calls, junk mail and identity theft.

Email Spam Prevention

Privacy Protection replaces your email address in the Whois database with its own email address. Every email sent to this address will be directed to an online contact form which will in turn email the message to you, drastically reducing the amount of spam in your inbox, while ensuring you receive legitimate communication.
